Jak już dobrze wszyscy wiecie staramy się o audiencje u Tenzina. Myśle, że jak by się to udało mielibyśmy experience na całe życie i co opowiadać, ale nie ma sie co nastawiać, będzie dobrze jak zobaczymy go publicznie w urodziny.

Highly Esteemed Sir or Madame,
I am writing to your Office on behalf of a group of Polish University students from Gdansk Poland. We would like to address His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet with a humble request for a private audience. We will be in Dharmasala between 3rd - 7th of July and we kindly ask you to take this dates into consideration. Please find our official letter to His Holiness attached. In this letter we also explain our motives for pleading for the audience. As we understand the importance of the work that His Holiness does during the year and the busy schedule that follows it, we write to you in advance.
We would be both honored and thankful if you could take our inquiry under advisement or pass it to the responsible administrative body. We would also pretty much appreciate if you could provide us with information about public audiences in July if our request would be declined.

Your Holiness,
I am writing on behalf of a group of students from Poland with a humble request for a private audience with Your Holiness in Dharamsala. We are a group of 6 Law Faculty students from the University of Gdańsk in Poland, exploring the world with a mission to learn about other cultures and the art of peaceful politics, cooperation and coexistence. In our long journey through life we decided to visit Tibet this summer, to learn about and to try to understand the culture of the Tibetan people as well as to sympathize with Your struggle to live a free and peaceful life. Due to the Chinese Peoples Republic reluctance to admit foreign travellers to Tibet, we decided to visit the outposts of Tibetan culture in India, the seat of The Tibetan Government in Exile in Dharamsala in particular.
We would be deeply honoured if Your Holiness would bestow us with the privilege of granting an private audience to our small group in between the days of the 3rd and 7th of July for which our stay in Dharamsala extends. As we are university students of regular polish families, that are not wealthy, we had to take into consideration the large expense of such a trip. This is why we worked hard in numerous jobs the whole year to honestly earn the required funds for our trip and decided to visit Dharamsala in July in honour of Your Holinesses birthday. At this point, in case we would not be able to do this in person, we would like to bestow upon Your Holiness in advance our most sincere wishes of peace and prosperity both the the Tibetan people and their beloved spiritual leader.
I would also like to explain why do we feel a strong need to learn about the Tibetan culture and to meet with Your Holiness. The history of Poland and the history of Tibet is similar in many ways. Just as Tibet struggles today with a communist power-house in the shape of China, Poland had to struggle with the iron-grip of the Soviet Union from 1945 until 1989. The way of peaceful freedom advocacy, that Your Holiness embodies today, was the way of the Solidarity Movement lead by Lech Walesa in Poland. The Solidarity Movement was a means of a non-violent struggle for freedom and independence, which in the end lead not only to the freedom of The Republic of Poland but also to the fall of the Soviet Union. Your Holiness had the opportunity to visit both our country and our home town of Gdańsk and to learn about the Solidarity Movement, as well as to meet our national hero Lech Walesa. This is why I am confident that Your Holiness understands that the hearts of Polish people are always with the suppressed, exiled and harassed no matter by which ideology or philosophy. Our family stories, told by those who experienced the communist regime, always tell the same sentence - WE WERE ALONE - and that is why it is so important for us to show the Tibetan people they are not alone.
We can not do much against a wolrd power like the Chinese Peoples Republic, however this does not mean we can not do anything. We do realize, that by learning about Tibet’s culture and spreading the knowledge further, we can contribute our small brick to the huge endeavour of sustaining the integrity and independence of Tibet.
Meeting with Your Holiness would not only be an honour and privilege but also a deep cultural and intellectual experience for all of us. We are not full-time human rights activists or political journalists. We are only insignificant and humble young students but it is young people like us that will form the future prospect of politics and economics and it would be an extraordinary gesture for Your Holiness to meet with us, reassuring our peers that you just have to try hard enough to succeed in anything you want to achieve. We strongly believe that like a water drop carves stone small gestures like this change the world.

Dear Mr. Papke,
This is to acknowledge receipt of your email dated May 2 requesting an
audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama for your group of Polish law
students during your planned visit to Dharamsala from July 3 to 7, 2012.
I am sorry to inform you that an audience will not be possible. In fact,
His Holiness will be out of Dharamsala on an extended visit. In all
honesty, there are just too many requests for His Holiness’ time and we
unfortunately have to decline the majority of them. His Holiness has many
public engagements throughout the year resulting in a very busy and
demanding schedule and leaving us with little time to schedule other
engagements. More importantly, in view of His Holiness' age and our
concern for ensuring His Holiness' continued good health, we are also
making it a priority to reduce his overall engagement schedule whether
here in Dharamsala or on visits. We hope you will understand our
situation.
